Look Inside My Creative Life in Flow | By Erica Prevell

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes in the life of a multi-passionate creative and entrepreneur?

I thought I’d share a little glimpse into how I navigate it all, from my creative wellness work and creative branding consulting to writing, art, and even testing new candle scents, all while still working a traditional 9-to-5 and prioritizing my wellness.

Here’s a peek into what my creative process looks like right now:

  1. Creative Work + Consulting: My creative and consulting work is my heart’s work, so it’s always top of mind. Whether I’m inviting ambitious child-free (or empty-nester) women professionals to center rest and creative expression through the Easeful Ambition journey or helping brands elevate their visual identity, I prioritize deep focus and intentional space for these sessions. I typically block off time on specific days (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays) to give my work and clients my full attention, ensuring I’m rested and grounded. It’s all about alignment and intention!

  2. Writing + Connecting with Readers: Since launching Release & Renew, connecting with readers has become a beautiful priority. Through emails, social media, and conversations, I’m constantly inspired by how this community is embracing the message of reclaiming their lives and living with ease. I love sharing updates about the book and diving deeper into its themes with you all, like how it’s evolving my own journey. I’m also thinking about doing something special for the one-year anniversary of Release & Renew, which was be released in January 2025. More to come on that!

  3. Creative Candle Experimentation: I’ve been working on something so exciting, the early stages of a dream- a candle line, which for me is scent development. The first scent I tested is called “Return to Ease,” and it’s been such a fun and grounding process. The inspiration? The feeling of coming home to yourself is light, calming, and luxurious. I’ve spent time experimenting with scents, blending notes of white tea, black oud, grapefruit, and morning dew. It’s all part of my desire to create not just a product, but an experience for the senses. This will be a long process, but I can’t wait to share more when the time comes.

4. Art for My Home: When it comes to art, it’s a deeply personal process for me. Right now, I’m working on a 6-piece textured art project for my home, each piece original and in flow. The textures are subtle, the colors clean, and they’re meant to evoke a sense of calm. I’m also creating custom frames for the pieces with my dad. It’s a creative outlet that reminds me of the importance of slowing down and making space for rest, just like I invite women like you to do.

5. How I Organize My Time: As you can imagine, managing all these creative endeavors requires intentional time alignment. For me, it’s about setting clear boundaries and having specific blocks of time dedicated to each project. I’ve learned that honoring my energy is key. Some days I dive deep into one project (like working on a client’s visual identity), while other days are more reflective (like journaling about a new creative concept or creating art). It’s all about finding the flow.

I hope this gives you a little peek into how I stay creative, organized, and connected with my work. If you’re interested in hearing more about any of these projects, I’d love to dive deeper in the future! You can also learn more about my work by visiting my website.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I’m grateful for your continued support and for the space we share to explore creativity, wellness, and ease.

With ease and creativity,

Erica Prevell
